this year before heading out to roam our neighborhood we headed to the local hospital where they have a pretty fun halloween festival. they let you go trick or treating through the first floor and they had free hot dogs, chips and soda, plus a haunted house and jump castle. it was really fun. the kids had fun getting dressed up this year too! vera was hermione from harry potter, while ricky exhumed his inner punk rocker and ended up looking a little like sid vicious (unintentionally) while ana was the cutest little black kitten you've ever seen!

it was a really fun night and we of lots of candy to prove it. mostly because after we finished up vera's friend samantha came to the door and asked if she could go trick or treating with her. so vera went out twice.
