i am way behind... again. a few weeks back joe's dad and stepmom came for a visit. they had never been out this time of year seeing as it is normally cold and they are warm weather folks. but the weather was unusually warm for their visit and because of this we were able to do many fun things.
we spent an entire day up in the mountains. we stopped at one of our favorite parks on our way up to estes. the kids had fun throwing leaves around.
when we got up to estes we were treated to more wildlife than i think i have ever seen! we drove into the park and saw at least 100 elk. it was crazy! they were right off the road and people were stopping and getting out to see them.
it was pretty cool to stand and watch the elk just hanging out. they are amazing creatures.
as a bonus we got to see some big horn sheep. they were just chillin by the side of the road. it was also cool.
the next day we took them to the museum of nature and science. they were very good at following whatever child wanted to pull them by the arm around the place.

on the last night of their visit bob and pam were treated to an evening of entertainment by the 1st grade class at the kids school. ana even had a solo part in the performance!
here is ana singing her heart out! they did a show all about america. ana got to sing an entire verse of this land is our land by hereself! she did great!
it was very nice to have bob and pam come visit! the kids were so happy to see them.
