sledding...

okay- i guess i have alot of catching up to do. here goes...

i feel really sorry for my kids sometimes. although there are some great things about growing up in colorado one thing has always made me feel bad for them. unless you go up into the mountains there are very few, if any good sledding hills. perhaps i was spoiled growing up in upstate new york with its amazing sledding hills, but i feel as if my kids are getting the shaft. despite the fact that the hills here are nothing great i will post some sledding pictures from last weekend.

the kids had a really great time and i guess they really don't know any better. they had never really been sledding before so i am sure they thought this lame hill we found was just fine. one day perhaps i will take them to the hill not far from my old house in new york that was referred to as suicide hill. sure i'm still alive after sledding down it but just barely... i should find some old pictures of it, it was amazing!

Although we grew up in different parts of upstate New York I think it is really funny that we had a suicide hill as well. And I'll agree about the sledding on the Front Range. Sometime you might want to consider Winter Park. They have a sledding hill that is long enough to need a tow rope to get back to the top.
