church

we have only taken the kids to a church once since they came into our family. when invited to join my brother chris and his family at a candlelight service on christmas eve we thought it might be fun to do that all together. it was a beautiful service. we sang christmas carols mostly and then we all had our own candle to light and they turned all the lights off. some people may think that was spooky, but we thought the little glowing lights were very beautiful and peaceful.

here are the kids looking all pretty and cool all dressed up

on another note, inside the church was a wall with pictures of children from third world countries. there was this picture of this little girl from somewhere in latin america i assume and it looked so much like anais it was a little creepy. but ana is a ton cuter!

after the service it took us about 25 minutes to get out of the parking lot as it should at any real mega-church. usually the church hires traffic cops to get people out faster but with it being a holiday the city could not accommodate the churches needs. while waiting in the parking lot to go home we see a stretch suv limo parked in front of the door to the church and a group of people walking out of the building and getting into it. we are still trying to figure this one out.
