ricky turned 8 on the 29th. birthdays are a little stressful for him so last year we did not do too much. this year we thought we would try to do a little more. we let him invite a few friends to go swimming. he was very nervous for a few weeks before the party but it came and went without anything going wrong. we were all thrilled. he had a great time. although he could not for the life of him come up with a wish to make when blowing out his candle. he sat there for several minutes thinking. i'd like to think he couldn't think of a wish because he was so content at that moment. maybe thats just wishful thinking but i'm going with it.

we had such a wonderful time. ricky has decided that birthdays are hardly something he needs to stress out about and that next year it will be better.
