how i am singlehandedly saving the world...

with all the talk of global warming lately i wanted to reassure all of our family, friends and the world that i am doing all i can to help the environment.

behold- the albuterol emergency inhaler for people with asthma!

while using this medication for over 20 years i never realized how much i was hurting the world. i didn't mean to. but now the makers of this amazing asthma inhaler have most likely spent trillions of dollars trying to make it more environmentally friendly. by tossing out the old aerosol style they have probably saved millions of polar bears! with all of this the only inconvenience to the user is the fact that it is smaller than the old model and it costs a mere 3 times more money. so it cost more and it holds less but to see that polar bears smile makes it all worth it:)

disclaimer: in case you don't know me very well...i am not making fun of the global warming crisis. i am making fun of the drug companies inability to innovate without passing on excessively enormous costs to the consumer.

See, here's what people don't get. The more polar bears you save, the more there are. That point should be simple enough to follow. But, there's more. Now with more polar bears, we have more polar bear infestation. Yeah, mom and pop sitting on their porch and Mr. Pole R. Bear comes alone looking to eat them. So, pop grabs his shot gun and BAM, Mr. Bear is dead. Ok, the world is in shock because of self defense. But, then they have to get rid of the carcass, and there is some law that probably forbids them from keeping the bear that they didn't legally shoot. So, here comes the big dump truck, fumes spewing out the tail pipe. There goes all the savings from tiny little medicines. Then, since you have to buy them at 3 times the cost, that means there is 3 times the paper being wasted to print your dollars, and 3 times the waste and pollution from the money factory. somehow Jill, i think we are all screwed!

R.I.P. Mr. Pole R. Bear
