we were fortunate enough to have joe's sister sam come visit and spend thanksgiving with us. the kids really enjoyed getting to hang out with her and so did joe and i. sam was quite a trooper during her stay! she didn't really get to sleep in, she had to eat strange foods and needless to say our house can be a bit stressful. but she hung in there and she survived! we hope that she will visit again soon.
we took sam up to the mountain in search of snow...but there was none! it was really nice weather and all the elk were hanging about taking advantage of it.
my lovely sister in law from florida was pretty disappointed to not have seen any snow on our trip to the mountains. but colorado was not willing to let her down. the next morning we had a good 5 inches of snow. it was beautiful.
