i chaperoned vera's choir field trip last week. we went to the local senior center where the choir performed their remarkable set, which i have now seen twice, and then we walked over the the retirement home and went door to door caroling. fun was had by all!
it was really cool to see the girls caroling and interacting with the older folks. they were so sweet to all the little old people who came to their doors. they would sing a song and then wish the folks a merry christmas and hand them a candy cane. some people wanted them to stay and sing another song. they all seemed very happy to have us show up!
sometimes i forget how fortunate i am that i am able to work my schedule around things like this. it has been so great to be able to go on the kids field trips and attend party's at school. i think they like it too:)
