last day of school

well the children's teachers have officially survived their year with my kids. we could not have asked for better teachers to help our kids through their big transition the last 2 years.


ana had mrs. shaffer as her kindergarten teacher this year. she was a wonderful teacher for ana. but ana was very concerned about what mrs shaffer would do without her for 3 months. i reassured her that mrs shaffer will probably enjoy her time away from school this summer. we also told ana that she would see her next year around the school even though she would not be in her class. i think that made her feel a little better.


ricky's second grade teacher, mrs. custer, is a saint. we cannot thank her enough for all she has done this past year to help us solve the puzzle that is ricky. i wanted to buy her a car or send her to the bahamas for a thank you gift but that was a little out of our price range. ricky adores her and joe and i don't know what we would have done without her. she also told us she would keep an eye on him next year for us :)



vera had mrs brunacci this year and she was thrilled. mrs brunacci rocks! she is very fun and a great teacher. she is also having a baby over the summer. vera is pretty excited about that. even though she wont be back at the school next year, she lives in our neighborhood, so vera is sure she will be able to see her again.

side note: they did face painting on all the kids during their last recess, just in case you can't tell what is all over the kids face and arms.
