the melting pot

for vera's birthday joe and i took her to the melting pot. vera loves fondue but she had never been to a fondue restaurant... until now. she wanted us to get all dressed up and since we never get to... why not. we had such a wonderful time! vera looked beautiful as always and we were thrilled to spend an evening with her.
we ordered a cheese fondue and then moved onto the main course. of course we ordered the vegetarian and got an array of vegetables that we then dipped in batter and fried. yummy! we ended our evening by ordering a dessert fondue. it was a banana's foster chocolate fondue with fruit and cheesecake and such on the side to dip in it.




we always have such a wonderful time with vera. she is incredibly smart and mature and we always have great conversations with her when the little kids aren't around:)
